As an added incentive to British consumers who prefer motorsport over their national sport, select UK retailers are now offering a free copy of Forza Motorsport 5 to those who pre-order the Xbox Day One Edition Console.

It was announced that FIFA 14 would be bundled with Xbox One Day One Edition Consoles in Europe back in August, and now UK gamers now have the option to choose Turn 10 Studios' latest racing simulator instead. While pre-orders had more or less dried up in the territory, corporate Vice President of marketing, strategy and business Yusuf Mehdi announced today that additional pre-order SKUs had been squeezed in across the globe. As reported by Gamespot, UK retailers GAME UK,  Amazon UK and Shopto are now offering the Forza 5 Xbox One Day One pre-order bundle.

The news coincides with this morning's announcement of the Xbox One release date. Afree copy of FIFA 14 is also being offered to those who pre-order the Xbox One Day One Edition console in Australia.

Lol to everyone in uk wanting this. Lol. It was on the news tonight that game has been inundated in the uk with people trying to preorder xbox one for free forza 5 today.

luckily i preordered my xbox in June. UK and game has gone xbox one mad today.

Microsoft are gonna market this waaaaaaaayyyyyyy more than Sony can dream to afford. Forza 5 has already got as much shelf space in both my game stores as gta 5 boxes. That's right actual bluray green forza 5 boxes right along the tills and behind.

the guy in their today said Microsoft are literally piling the advertising on now. Well i changed from fifa to forza. So now i can buy dead rising 3 as well.

and Microsoft launch a week earlier here to. The fact that Microsoft have such a choice of strong exclusives to launch i think will hurt Sony here. Everyone here has a week to see the games and play them in store. The only ps4 game in my stores being remotely advertised is killzone. And that's next to gt6 box nowhere near tills.

MS is really serious about a great launch in UK. Too bad this isn`t done across Europe.

In PT and across Europe people don't care much about Xbox!

Yeah, in Portugal the Xbox brand was pratically irrelevant. And even if it`s biggest market in Europe is the UK, they really need to push it harder.
The PS brand seems to be as strong as ever in Europe and seems like the PS4 is set to start really strong in the US. MS needs to do more to balance things out.
