the guy in their today said Microsoft are literally piling the advertising on now. Well i changed from fifa to forza. So now i can buy dead rising 3 as well.

and Microsoft launch a week earlier here to. The fact that Microsoft have such a choice of strong exclusives to launch i think will hurt Sony here. Everyone here has a week to see the games and play them in store. The only ps4 game in my stores being remotely advertised is killzone. And that's next to gt6 box nowhere near tills.

this is nowhere near a landslide for Sony. Not in uk.

This thread has nothing to do with Sony and yet you still manage to take jabs at them. I thought you changed, I was wrong.

Yeah, in Portugal the Xbox brand was pratically irrelevant. And even if it`s biggest market in Europe is the UK, they really need to push it harder.
The PS brand seems to be as strong as ever in Europe and seems like the PS4 is set to start really strong in the US. MS needs to do more to balance things out.

Do you think it's because people are not that well informed? Or MS failed marketing over there?

@ riders. Easy pal. Don't be so sensitive. Its a sales website. This turn is a direct play from Microsoft against Sony in uk. And it appears to be working at least today.

there's no malice in my post. Chill. My evaluation is directly in line with the reason Microsoft have done this.

i made no snarky comments at Sony at all.

There were basically no ads since it came out. I saw probably one or two in all these years.
About the marketing, i really haven`t seen anything besides temporary cuts on price or several games added to the console during Christmas. Honestly, i have no idea how MS works around here.

But besides that inertia, there really wasn`t a good reason for Xbox to have such low marketshare - which was really low, last time i saw news about it.
Portugal has always been a strong PS bastion. Even Wii didn`t take off until 2009 - from when it took over as best selling console.
My guess is people just don`t want it. It`s like the days of GC and Xbox: they were good consoles, but people just wanted PS2.

Those stores must be run by very unintelligent managers. In the UK, GTA 4 sold almost as much in its first day as Forza 4 did in its first two years P: I haven’t seen what your describing though, the last two game stores I’ve visited (damn controller broke ¬_¬) had pretty much identical space for both consoles.

Could you also find me this new about Froza's massive demand, because I’d be interested to have a read ^^ I did some googling with various word combinations and found nothing. Seems like the kind of story someone would pick up, especially if it was covered by an actual news station.

same reason with GTA and saints row people stick to what they know even if the other offer would be amazing

Although i got to say if i ever buy another console besides Wii U, it will be a Xbox for Halo! Yeah, i loved that game!
