At max, 6. like others have said, it gets really tiring seeing the same or very similar games on an aging console. I like a console to have a healthy life span, but when the system is well into it's 7+ year, and there's still no word on new hardware, they're just dragging it too long for me. There should already be some news about new hardware at this point.

I like when they last long. As long as you enjoy multiple genres, buy at least a couple current gen consoles or maybe a portable and a console, there is plenty to fill years of play.
