So when I thought about this 2 games instantly popped into my head and those were Halo 3 and Super Mario 64.

The sales of these two games are nearly identical so its really hard to pick from them.  In the end though I have to pick Super Mario 64 because the N64 has a user base of 33m and the 360 has a user base of 78m (getting all my numbers from VGC).  So therefore if both games sold 11.5m units roughly then a third of N64 users bought Super Mario 64 and 15% of 360 users bought Halo 3.  Now I know you have to account for broken 360s, but I don`t see that number changing by much, maybe 20% max.  So I gotta go with Super Mario 64 because a bigger portion of the user base bought it and I think that makes it a bigger system seller.  So what do you guys think is the biggest system seller?

well mario has been a huge system seller, but im starting to believe his ability to sell systems is getting smaller (if we are talking about main line mario games). but since there are a billion mario games out there, 2d mario, 3d mario, mario kart, smash bros (mario is on the cover) and so on. he manages to sell a lot of systems even if he does so with many games from many genre's.

I would say Wii Sports but it wont be as consistent as Halo or Pokemon. Wii Sports sold the Wii but Halo Sold both the Xbox and X360. Likely will sell the X1 as well.

Pokemon has sold every handheld nintendo has released so I would say Pokemon first, Halo 2nd, and Mario 3rd.
