well mario has been a huge system seller, but im starting to believe his ability to sell systems is getting smaller (if we are talking about main line mario games). but since there are a billion mario games out there, 2d mario, 3d mario, mario kart, smash bros (mario is on the cover) and so on. he manages to sell a lot of systems even if he does so with many games from many genre's.
the answer has to be mario, his ability to sell systems is getting weaker now but mario is the obvious answer
