Forums - Sony - Timesplitters Rewind map footage surfaces

Not being Timesplitters 4 is a bit of a bummer. Could still be interesting and I'm hoping for a PC version.

So will this actually feel more like Timesplitters of old or feel like your average Call of Duty FPS that every shooter this generation has come to feel like.

Is there also going  to be a level creator?

Why just for the PS4, because of the small team? Interesting they chose that as the preferred platform.

I think Timesplitters 2 is one of the greatest games ever made. It had everything, from the environments spanning different eras, the great humor, a massive selection of weapons, (including bricks and miniguns) power-ups, a huge roster of diverse playable characters and an unbelievably deep multiplayer which included co-op and a map editor.

It even had zombies and monkeys!

I would buy this.

It's a very small team and the project isn't greenlit yet so it makes sense to stay with a single platform, and PS4 is probably the best one atm. I very much doubt it'll stay exclusive if Crytek approves of it though.

Updated the OP with a reddit AMA with the project manager of Timesplitters Rewind.

Some extremely interesting things in there. He's pushing for cross-platform play across PS4 & PC; and he's considering bringing it to XBone but only with more information about MS' indie policies. He'd like cross play across XB/PS/PC too.

Oh, and Graeme Norgate is working on the project. Which means the soundtrack should be as kick-ass as Timesplitters was known for!

Update showing the Compound map. Nothing special, but includes an awesome remix of Neotokyo for the music :P

He also talks a bit more about PS4 version in the comments. Still not confirmed sadly:

"PS4 is the console we want, if we can get it."
