I hate how exclusives have turned out recently. You can't even tell if an exclusive is actually an exclusive anymore.

A company says a game is "exclusive" or you have exclusive content on a certain platform, only to find that it's only exclusive for a set period of time. MS started this BS last gen with timed exclusivity and now Sony has embraced it full force. STOP WITH THE MIXED MESSAGING! Invest in actual exclusive games as opposed to month's worth of exclusive content on 10 different 3rd party games. It's stupid.

3 Months doesnt sound like much. Will it even be considered as any bit of advantage in the minds of gamers?

I guess it isnt about the QUALITY of the timed exclusivity but the quantity since sony will be aiming to get a whole bunch of small timed exclusives.

I'm not sure why people are assuming Sony paid for this timed exclusive when we've for the last few months heard nothing but bad things about how MS don't allow easy updates or don't allow cross platform play or just the basic thing of Free To Play games being behind a paywall, ignoring the self publishing thing which still isn't all there. This reads more along the lines of Sony being able to give a developer of a F2P game, the opportunity to release their game to a bigger audience and they took it, while MS and their policies meant the developer couldn't do that. Now things have changed and it'll just take time to redo it for a new console.
