The 3DS has already sold 6 million vs about 3 million total for Wii U and Vita, and will likely have sold 17 million thanks to Pokemon, 2DS price point, and holidays total by the time the year ends.

I only see 15 million for the others combined absolute TOPS, more like 12 million more realistically. I feel it's a pretty safe bet.

An extra half a million units from September at best. It probably has more chance to be less than over to be honest. So in short, the WiiU will probably match only 3 months of 3DS current sales if they remain the same (ignoring christmas boom). PSV is only going to match the WiiU, but didn't have the good Jan sales like the U had, and hell knows about the new consoles. Sure, they are great, but the target market over the last few years has not been one with much financial flexibility.

i think its possible actually. the 3DS should do 15M easily and can surpass too. lets be generous and say both PS4 and X1 did 5 million each. and lets say the WiiU does 5M too and the vita 3M. that would ammount to 18 million. if the 3DS explodes it can do that number. also, PS4 and X1 will seem supply constraint so i doubt they will manage to do 5 Million each. its hard for the 3DS to do it, but it is possible.  you are talking about shipments correct? 

I'm sorry. But noone in their right mind would think the WiiU will sell 500k units or less worldwide from sept-dec(rest of the year). Not even the most rabid Sony/MS fanboy.

I'm doing an estimate comparing it with the PS3/360 data last year (so I can calculate how much a console sells on hollydays compared to the first half of the year). So I will post my predictions for PS360, Wii U, 3DS and Vita (no Wii, PSP or DS because their decline is making things less predictable):

PS3 - 10.5M

Vita - 4.5M

Wii U - 4.0M

3DS - 14.5M

X360 - 8.5M
