It's not that weird to choose one console. Not everyone can afford it and not everyone who can has enough time. I'm a serious gamer, 20+ hours per week and i'm 30 lol. If i was 14 i'de have enough time, but then again, teens do not swim in money. So getting one console is hard enough for the majority.

also not everyone wants to buy 2 consoles that overlap on so many games and apps.  Especially people that only really play 3rd party games

No its not. America gets the console that costs less and gives more games. The 360 had a years head start and accomplished that first for a lower price while money hatting third party games. Even i was interested in the 360 at launch time more than the PS3. Things change though.

PS4 right now is more popular than Xbone in any place... I don't know how anybody expect that to be different in US.

In my opinion most of 180 changes was made because the lost of popularity in US and not others places.

The low pre order numbers and Gamestop did something too.

 

Did that Ben guy say anything about that so far? Seeing as he has insider knowledge and all.

Yeah... preorders was part of popularity ... Gamestop put some presure too.

He doesn't have any insider knowledge! AHhhh, people keep thinking he does because he wants us to think he does. He chose to say "no comment" when that supposed GameStop/MS conflict came about and just hinted at crap. But to be honest, from being on these forums for years, he never once gave the impression that he was any more than a regular employee or store manager. You'd have to be ABOVE regional manager level of GameStop to have any sort of insider knowledge.

And then there's the fact that I have plenty of GameStop contacts of Regional Manager/Store Manager level that were all saying they hadn't heard anything and that the internet was just conspiracy theory on overdrive.

Ben has not once ever provided any insider knowledge.

OT: I love how the only times they asked PS4 users why they were choosing that, the one kid couldn't think of any reason... and the other kid used some weak "The Xbox One is a media console and I just want to play games."

Such stupidity. I agree with the guy who said Xbox One because he wanted a full media machine with gaming.

Only in the console wars would having more/better features be a negative.

While obviously people will point out flaws of doing this anywhere, it did feel unfiltered and not edited to create a perception. Plenty of people want either, with PS4 having a solid lead. Given pre-order data right now does not seem that far removed from reality.

Yeah but PAX is a convention that mostly hardcore gamers go to and, let's be honest, hardcore gamers don't switch sides easily.


Hardcore gamers can switch whichever console they want to play at anytime. Fanboys stick to one console in ignorance.
