Forums - Sales - Will we see next-gen pre-order cancellations now that WiiU got a price cut?

Good joke, pezus.

You are an interesting folk Pezus. Very interesting indeed.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I doubt it. The pre orders are from either die hards or ebayers. Granted this might hurt the ebayers by cutting demand on those console which to me is a good thing, However given the launch titles for PS4 if someone has it pre ordered already I doubt anything could sway them.

Another jerk off thread by pezus. Must be really boring in iceland.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

No. people pre-ordering are typically fan-favorites to specific titles/consoles.

Very few will drop PS4/Xbone for this deal. Only those on the fence and likely originally wanted a Wii U anyways.

However, this will attract those holiday shoppers who have no allegence or buying for kids. $100 cheaper and already some notable games out. Especially if Nintendo follows that Zelda bundle up with some other quality bundles from core (Watch_Dogs or COD) to casual (Mario or MarioPart/Wii Fit U). Btw, I actually feel Mario is not a casual game but its long-time superiority gets immediate recognition from all gamer types.

This just in: WiiU's entry price is now only $299! "Hold on," you say, "isn't this the same as before?" No, let me tell you, you can now get the deluxe model along with the Zelda WW remake for that price! The value is now significantly greater.

Having said that, do you expect people to cancel their PS4/One pre-orders en masse now that WiiU is more compelling than ever?

Go outside and do something else. Summer is about to end in Iceland. By the way nice sig. Who is she?

Proud gamer of Nintendo and Sony consoles since 2003.

I think I'm going to push back my purchase of PS4 to spring 2014. Not so much because of the Wii U, cuz that's only one or two titles to play (Wind Waker, and possibly Pikmin), but because I need to complete current gen before I enter next gen.

I am afraid current gen will feel obsolete the day I buy a PS4.

I was thinking the same thing. So many good games to finish from this generation.

I will say that due to the overall bad economy, people are looking for excuses to cancel preorders left and right. Not many wants to openly admit to others that they have less disposable income than before. So they will look to other excuses to justify cancellation of preorders.

Also. If people aren't retarded they would ask themselves the following question leading into the holidays:

How will I spend my holiday this xmas? What will give me the most meaningful entertainment when spending time with family and offline friends in that time?

I will cancel my imaginary-notplanned-neverwillhappen pre-order if that suit the purpose of this thread, anyway.
