In the video posted in the OP, at around the 7:50 mark, one of the players will witness another player during a slow-motion execution, which looks weird because the player is still moving in real-time, while the enemy is paused in mid-air (during the execution animation). In my opinion, Crytek has got to get rid of the slow/stop-motion kills in multiplayer.

And it was full of bugs.

So when you take a few GIFs, and use them to describe Ryse as getting worse, not better, people are going to be sceptical.

Especially when the gaming media seems to think the game looks fantastic, and you use it to extrapolate a reason not to purchase an Xbox One.

I don't understand why people bring last of us into te conversation, TLOU was great I myself did not run into any bugs, and the bugs that were in the game are quite funny and hardly game breaking based on videos i saw online.

OT (yes talking about TLOU is not on topic!): These bugs are funny in Ryse but let's be honest, these bugs will also be barely game breaking and can still be removed before release!

yeah I don't know either.... I don't follow much the PS3 game scene, but if I hadn't vowed to never buy a Sony product again I might have picked up a PS3 for that game once the PS4 releases and the PS3 goes for dirt cheap on the second hand market....

I also think Ryse SP looks visually fantastic, and the cut scene and story seems to be cool and different than most games, that era and the greek one is not used enough IMO.... and well the MPP looks like it could have been far worst... to be honnest I didn't expect a MP mode for that game.... now the gameplay looks more than alright compared to other games that got decent ranking.... so I'm looking for it to come and see what's the final word on it but if it's anything around 70 meta I'll probably pick it up... especially if it's the MP lowering the grade... I'm more looking forward to the SP for that one..

I disagree. I think it looks epic. Worked fine in Max Payne 3 multiplayer.

This is exactly why people are bringing TLOU into the topic. Honestly it's easy to understand why.

The entire argument laid down in the OP is that he was willing to shell out over $600 to play this one game before he saw these gifs and videos that show some small graphical glitches and clipping issues. According to him there is not enough time to fix these issues and the game will suck because of it.

Yet he loves Last of Us, a game that has tons of clipping issues and a lot of the same graphical glitches we see in these Ryse videos, and it's an actual retail game you can go out and buy now. But that didn't stop LoU from being, as he said, "one of the best rated games of this gen".

So do you not see the contradiction there? The point in bringing LoU into the thread is not to crap on LoU or troll it for its loads of glitches, but to say, Game A has these issues even after it's released and is still fine. Why is Game B, which is not even released yet, instantly doomed for the same issues?
