Hey guys. was at Gamescom Thursday, and yes, i want to show off. but dont take it the wrong way, i was just so surprised that i really need to share that.

So yeah, i had like 4 hours because i have a fuckload of work right now (lots of overtime.. hate it) but i really wanted to go there once in my life, so i did. the first 2 hours where a pure disapointment cuz i got totally lost and i didnt even have a wristband marking me as an adult. (you get these here in germany because 16 year olds arent allowed to see content not for their age.)

so yeah, while stepping by the Square Enix booth i saw one from the dev team on stage, and i was curious. some seconds in, they starting throwing pocketfans and USB sticks into the masses, and since i didnt get anything yet, i was desperate to get at least SOME stuff from GC. (i actually have a 6 sec video of that. lmao.).. of course i didnt get anything, what a dissapointment. again. when i was to turn around, they announced that they would now,, as the grand finale, throw 5 gaming mice into the masses. and just as i turned to the booth to look at them throwing, one of the mice was LITERALLY thrown at my head, and yes, it dit hurt. however, i immediatly reacted and tried to catch it, and i really hit the fuckers around me with my elbows (i really didnt know what was going on that moment, i just reacted somehow).. and before long, i actually had that thing in my hands.

i sure was happy, because my bad luck seemed to have faded, and i browsed the Mouse at Amazon because i initially wanted to sell that thing. (yeah, stupid idea, i know), and Amazon germany has it in stock for 80 Bucks or over, which was quite a shock since i didnt think it would be worth that much.

at home, i was curious, and i wanted to take a look, so i opened it anyway, and i was quite surprised - the Mouse was in its original box, with no notification of the following whatsoever, but the mouse actually has the Realm reborn logo engraved into it. and so i decided to keep it, to play FFXIV with it.

so yeah, gamescom turned awesome in the blink of an eye, and i eventually got my age verifying wristband right afterwards from a lady straying around, looking for idiots like me who forgot to get one at the entrance. and shortly after, i even got a Witcher 3 Shirt, Xbox one wristbands, posters, and some bags with games on them. all in the last hour. hell yeah... guess i am one lucky gamer.

Off Topic! Have you maybe tried the Dualshock 4?

Just an aside, Ive tried it out, and it's pretty darn good. Nice and eergonomical, but I couldn't get the hang of the touchpad. I'm sure that, given time, it'd fit we'll though.

updating the client right now, playing on PS3. luckily, the mouse is supported. (i think all USB Mice are, tho. since i participated in the beta, i HIGHLY recommend at least a cheap USB keyboard, otherwise chat is hell)

still not sure about which server to start on. (european one definetly tho, dont know if there are, like in WOW, german ones, brittish ones, etc.)

sadly, no. i was in a hurry so i had no time to stand in line for 4 hours. next time (and i'll defninetly go next time, too, GC was awesome) ill take 1-2 days off to see more. there was seriously so much content. my guess is that even 2 days arent enough to see anything, but oh well. (it still takes 2 hours for me to reach cologne by train, but i guess that is kinda okayish given that some really live to far away to come to a visit. but if anyone wants to go there next time, dont worry about communication, everything is at least also displayed in english, and there are tons of live performances that are also in english. and contrary to popular belief, we germans are quite helpful und can at least provide you with basic info in english. also, all the guys at any booth speak english quite well. funfact: i acted like i was an english only speaker at the xbox booth, and while communication was flawless, it also was a whole lot of fun.)

I never know whether you are serious, are you a hater or not, etc. So your compliments may be a trap for future dissapointment

Well, I am being serious and Im not a hater, so I can assure you from someone who enjoys the DS3 that the DS4 is an improvement in numerous subtle ways you may not have even considered!
