Oh this should be fun. I hope reviewers can get over the standard car thing this time.

I doubt it since pretty much every racing game released since GT5 only features premium cars.  Also from early hands on impressions GT6 still has load time issues.

I understand why they don't like them. It took me years to get used to them and appreciate why they're useful in a sim. Probably easiser for me though because I race from the bonnet cam rather than cockpit view. And thanks for the load time info, I trust you to be up to date on news of every GT problem ;)

What pisses me off with F5 is the small track and car list. Other than that, Turn 10 are pretty much the best developers out there, so gameplay and visuals should be amazing. GT6 demo was painful to play, just awful compared to Forza. I have no doubt GT6 will score lower, it could also kill the franchise if it sells poor.

The previous GT games have sold so much there is no way that GT6 selling a lot less could kill the franchise.  But GT PSP's somewhat disapointing sales numbers probabaly killed the change of a Vita version.

I fail to see how over 4 million sales is dissapointing for what is essentially a gt4 port with some downscaled gt5 porting going on too.....

I can't decide how gt6 is going to sell as it doesn't have the stupid levels of hype behind it thanks to next gen, yet advertising (at least in the uk) has been much much better for it.....But at the very least we're going to see gt7 on ps4 which will most likely smash 10mill again regardless of hor gt6 does.

OH and GT6 should review much better for the simple fact it has a lot more content and day/night/weather, which Forza really should have as a next gen game (and honestly I'm amazed that they haven't laid the foundations for day/night/weather on all tracks whilst they can get away with less content [see gt3] as they way they show off next gen, as let's be fair it's the only thing left Forza has yet to impliment, outside of good simulation), but I doubt it thanks to next gen hype, the hate on gt reviews seem to have and the fact gt is post next gen.

I'm pretty sure they where hoping for a lot more then 4 million.  Also that number isn't really that impressive since most of those copies where sold at a deep discount.  As for GT6 having a lot more content then FM5 no one knows that yet since neither game has been released.  I'm pretty sure that FM5 will have more then enough features and content I doubt Turn10 would have attached 3,000 Forza Rewards Point to it if it lacks in content and features.

Really? When they're launching the game on a platform at the end of its life cycle, of which the platform was/is up to its eyeballs in piracy and the best game (GTA) only sold ~7.5 million of which the franchise is bigger than gt anyway. I can't imagine that PD or Sony would be pretty upset at those numbers for what is essentially a re-hash of a now 9 year old game....(was 7 when gtpsp came out).....

And we actually know a lot about GT6 and FM5, we know That GT6 has ~1200 cars Forza has ~200 cars, GT6 has weather and day/night on 14 tracks and either or on a further 10 tracks, Forza doesn't have any of this, GT6 has 39 tracks Forza has 14 (yeah Forza has the same number of tracks that GT6 has that have weather + day/night, next gen my arse)

oh and you want to know what the biggest kicker is, not only does Forza not have Suzuka it doesn't have the NURBURGRING HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The only thing Forza can possibly have over gt6 in terms of content is a livery editor and this isn't even confirmed yet, and let's be fair in a simulator who gives a hoot about having a hello kitty car hahahahaha.

So yeah, Forza has a lot less content than GT6

Making it more accessible wouldnt take away whats currently there, it would add something extra.

Forza does this right.

I agree at near term but not at long term.

The racing simulation user base is bigger than the racing arcade user base... you will never see a arcade racer selling 10 million... Mario Kart is a exception because the combo Racing + Funny + Mario.

Make GT more accessible can give the actual interaction more sales but the next one will declive.

PD need to focus in what makes GT better... the differencital that every racer fan expect when buy a GT game... the feel and experience of drive a car that probably he will never drive in real life.

The main focus need to be the driving phaysics and everything related to it... the secondary focus is the user interface and community... what makes Forza good? The online community and that can add a lot to GT without change the main focus.

Meh Need for speed did that , I am pretty sure one shipped more than ten million Underground or hot pursuit not sure witch one..

Forza 4 had a lot more content then GT5 (before the 2.0 update the content in GT5 was pretty much a joke) so you asuming that GT6 will have a lot more content is kinda ludacris since neither game has been released yet.

I like how British people call it bonnet instead of hood.  I myself use 3rd person view most of the time in racing games.  I'm pretty underwhelmed by both Forza 5 and GT6 hoping that they will anounce Forza Horizon 2 pretty soon that game will be more fun then both of them.  And since I'm pretty sure that they will not add Autovista mode to it I'm sure it will have a lot more content then the first game.

Forza 5 will score better because of graphics alone. It's got less content than Forza 4 which was already confirmed by developers so it should be scored less but we know that's not going to happen.

Gran Turismo 6 will probably receive lower scores like Gran Turismo 5 did because they expect Gran Turismo to deliver more and Gran Turismo 6 while being a lot better than Gran Turismo 5 prepatched, is not much different than Gran Turismo 5 just with new tracks, new cars, maybe some other stuff, etc.

Mario Kart 8 is gonna win.

Runs awaaaaaay!!

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Why would Gran Turismo 6 score any differently than Gran Turismo 5? What was wrong with GT5 that won't be the same in GT6?

GT5 was a half finished game that received dozens of patches and years of support from PD. Frankly, I'd be shocked if GT6 didn't launch at a considerably higher level of quality than GT5 did.

Forza has been scoring better the last few years, but this time it might suffer a bit for having less content.
Hopefully GT6 will be the all-improved GT that it promises to be and be scored accordingly.
If so, my guess is that they might score about the same. Perhaps Forza slightly higher for that next-gen factor.

Suffer a bit, they should get hammerd form releasing half a game.

A game should be reviewed for what it is not benefit from its new gen and punished its from old gen.  Most of you are whacked saying ohh its new gen ill review better, what the hell type of review mentality is that.
