I didnt say he didnt do any good. I say he doesnt want to reprise the role of Batman and its no use QQing about it.

Oh noez, I didn't actually read carefully the OP or even the thread title  : are they really mixing crappy Superman with Batman? Then Ben Assfleck is the smallest of their problems. Batman vs. Superman, that's not even jumping the shark, it's more like putting diarrhea instead of caramel and chocolate sauce on your ice-cream...

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")

Batman vs. Superman in comics has always been a jizzworthy moment. The movie will be fine. Affleck is a comics geek like me. I think he'll do it justice.

Comment on IGN that I agree with...

So everyone who "loves this idea," okay, you've obviously NEVER read a Batman comic in your life. That's fine. You've got some amazing books out there waiting for you. One thing you'll be surprised to learn- Batman is supposed to be basically a ninja who's mastered many different fighting skills, who's also pretty much a genius. Now picture Ben Affleck. Yea, no. And I'm a huge fan of Affleck, on and off the screen. But this is not a good call, and anyone who knows how bad-ass Batman can, and is supposed to be knows this.

Ignorance.  Dumb-founded ignorance.

The reason they chose Affleck is because both The Town and Argo made a lot of money for Warner Brothers both movies being critical successes didn't hurt either.

I doubt that is the reason. Doesn't matter who the actor for Batman is...a Batman Vs. Superman movie will make a ton of money no matter what. Look at Man of Steel...It got like a 50% rating on Rottentomatoes and still made over $600M.

The critics hated Man of Steel but the majoriy of regular people that saw it liked it.  The majority of critics liked Superman Returns but the majority of regular people that watched it hated it.  Pleasing the critics should only be a main concern for studios around award season.  For the most part they should stick to making movies that the viewing public likes.  Ben Affleck being in the good graces of Waner Brothers definitely helped him land the role if The Town and Argo would have bombed I doubt he would have gotten the role.

I will NEVER accept him. Never.

Bale will always be Batman. ALWAYS.

Seriously? Why do people like Bales batman so much? I loved Nolan's trilogy, but Bale's Batman may actually have been the worst thing about the Dark Knight Trilogy. I tolerated it more than I enjoyed it.

Everything about this movie sounds like its more about studio politics than actually trying to make a good movie.

Who gets a role is mostly about studio poitics then anything else.  Well at least its not as bad as it used to be when actors where under contract with one studio and only could work for one studio unless the studio that they had a contract with agreed to lend then out to a different studio and that rarely happened.

Yeah,I don't understand the jizzfest for Bale. I think he is a good actor but he didn't make the recent Batman's great, Nolan did. Ledger did kick all of the possible ass in Dark Knight though.

I really don't think Batman/Bruce Wayne needs to be great, just good enough. I think Affleck will be good enough.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
