Multiplayer isn't player vs. player. You team up with another player to take on enemy AI. So there is no disadvantage. Since this is the case pretty much every other worry can go out the window since you can still unlock the items without buying them.

However people won't read this or come back to this thread so we will have to go through the next 3-4 months of people spreading BS about these details.

Doesn't matter if you do.  You know how this site works by now.  Sony is perfect, Nintendo is lovely, and MSFT is the most evil company in the world.  While MSFT will take the heat for Ryse having microtransactions and FTP games, sony will be praised for titles such as Planetside 2 and Dust 514.  Because what they are doing is different you know.

@OP The game is coop as far as I'm aware and has no competitive multiplayer.  

As long as microtransactions are purely cosmetic then I don't care, but when it gets to the point where you have to pay for the good guns or else you'll have shit, then you just ruined the game.

"Hey guys how long does it take to 1000/1000 this game?"
"Well 40 or 20 hours depending on whether you want to give the Dev an extra $10 or not really"

"Hey guyz, I just got a plat..... with my platinum card :D"

"I don't date guys with a gamerscore of less that 50K....... they just don't earn enough"

Planetside is free to play, it kind of needs some sort of microtransactions, Dust 514 is made by CCP, the Eve people. What they are doing is very clearly different

As I said, clearly people will say very different.  meanwhile Ryse, Killer Instinct, and Project Spark will take all the heat because they are working for the wrong company.

That was clearly a sarcastic comment, I was simply pointing out that they are indeed very clearly different. Killer Instinct is a free to play game, yes, but it is a fighter, no a MMORPG (or shooter or whatever Dust is). What has Project Spark got to do with this?

Who has been talking about Project Spark. That is an odd game, it's Xbone/PC/tablet game or something... It also doesn't even havea name yet, I assume it is not coming out for a while
