Its not a straight port. You clearly didnt watch the video if you think that.

There are big changes to the game, specifically the structure of the areas in which boss fights occur.

That kind of change costs money.

Still doesnt explain why their is a 20 dollar difference between Wii U version and PS360

The game has been singificantly improved when compared to the PS3 and 360 versions. It's easily worth the extra $20. The included DLC is already worth nearly 50% of that extra $20, then you have the overhauled boss fights, improved AI and tweaked balance.

I'd pay the $20 solely for the overhauled boss fights if I'm perfectly honest.

I think you are misunderstanding me. the Directors Cut version of this game is NOT exclusive to Wii u. it will also be on PS360 for 20 bucks less. All the changes you mentioned will also be on the DC edition of the PS360 versions when they drop the same day as teh WIi U one. So i ask again, why the 20 dollar difference?

It's not? Must have missed that one. Well if you've never played it it's still worth it

I'm guessing they upped the price because it's a new next-gen console. The cost of games for PS4 & X1 are higher than new PS3/360 games too.

its right there on Amazon, and as someone who has the game i know its worth it, but price is strange and frankly they are going to hurt themselves on Wii U at least

Im not buying that, Its not like the PS4 version of say...AC4 is 20 bucks higher than the PS3 version. ANd im pretty sure the Wii U version is running on whatever engine is powering the PS360, besides thats not how it works anyway. Doesnt matter if its on WIi U its still a current gen game. Not like the remade it from the ground up ala Tomb Raider Anniversary or Resident Evil(Gamecube)

It could be a mistake by Amazon, all the versions are placeholders, Wii U version does not have release date and cost 50, PS3 and 360 version have release november 15 (a friday) and cost 30. It is possible that the game finally comes out for all consoles at 40 (crossing my fingers) and releases before the end of the year.

that could be possible but some how i doubt it. If they have the date then they usually have the price and if its just placeholder they would put the price that low. it would be 50 mininmum. The price of the Wii U version could be placeholder as their is not date but that is a hell of a discrpency between the versions. For everyone sakes i hope you're right but i wouldnt put it pass SE to be dicks and those are the real prices, hell we dont have a release date for WIi U and that is kind of worrying, they could pull a quick one and push it back to next year and keep that 50 dollar price.

I have followed this game since it was announced a few months back, and the Wii U version had a release date for may and it was removed when the game was delayed, the price has always been 50 dollars. When the PS3 and 360 versions were announced the price was placed at 30 dollars, but the Wii U version was not updated, and now the PS3 and 360 version have a placeholder release date (november 15th a FRIDAY), so I wtill have hope that the Wii U version will come down in price and all the versions launch at the same price in the same date.

I could live with a 10 dollars difference because of the Gamepad support, but 20 is just too much.

usually placeholder dates are Dec 13 for whatever year its releasing or the last day in a quarter. Nov 15 is too specific for it to be a random placeholder date IMHO. And there is nothing stopping SE frome releasing on Friday, hell they would probably benefit as to not compete with whatever comes out on Tuesday.

I dont have a WIi U and even if I did i wouldnt be getting this game as i still havent beaten the original version i have, with that being said I hope is not a 20 dollar difference, that would just be messed up, i would feel for whoever was interested as a gamer

It cost no money to make. It's just like fallout, dragon age,Ssiv game of the year editions and you could get all the previous versions for like 5 bucks. +a port to wii-u. It must work for publishers to keep doing this.

I never said it was. A little more is added than most ports.

The boss fights make up less than 1% of the game using features that were already in the game just applied to bossfights. There's little new assets created (a few rooms). The wiiu controller of course is new, but its built mostly the GUI moved around.

Won't sell well regardless. Ports this old don't sell. Hopefully, Square won't use that as an excuse not to support Wii U.

Lol, yeah right. xD
