Capcom will not support Wii U in the future because this game.

I don't understand? Deus Ex is published by Square Enix.

yes, yes. My mistake lol

this game is an FPS?! i always thought it was third person :-O

It has been in my radar since it was announced, the high price is the only concern, but if they give me a release date I will buy it immediately anyway.

Regardless of the WiiU specific features that look mostly like gimmicks, I'd seriously recommend WiiU owners to get this if they haven't already played it. Looks like they fixed the worst part of the game too (boss fights)

Some of it is fluff, like the inventory on the game-pad. That's no better than on the main screen, as is the augmented vision mode or the sniper scope. The map features are nice, though.

Wait, that was a silenced sniper rifle. Bastards, that should have been in the regular game.

All that really matters, however, is that they've done something about those awful, horrible boss fights. Seriously, they were so annoying and totally broke the stealth operative vibe into pieces. I hated them. So much rage.

Hacking with the game-pad looks nifty but it also seems pretty minor.

The main thing are the boss fights. They look massively improved, so it's automatically a much better version just from that.

Completely agree on the boss fights. If they've fixed all of them then I'd call this damn near perfect.

It cost no money to make. It's just like fallout, dragon age,Ssiv game of the year editions and you could get all the previous versions for like 5 bucks. +a port to wii-u. It must work for publishers to keep doing this.

Except that afterwards, they all complain how the title didn't see well on the Wii U and now they're not making any more games for it.

The fact they've ported this and put some effort in suggests they (Square-Enix) want the devs to get a feel for the WiiU architecture. It's a low cost, low risk way to do it, introduces the franchise to WiiU users and makes it easier for them to port any sequels.

Yes, they may change their mind as publishers regularly do, but for now, this should be a positive.

It'll be a brand new game for me, so I plan to buy it soon after launch.

Ive always been a fan of this series. But isnt it just a port????

A little more than a port. Refined gameplay and graphics, DLC integrated into the main campaign, Wii U specific features.

If all ports were like this, the only thing gamers would have to gripe about would be the release date (see thread above).

Not WiiU specific, no. They're coming to PS3 and 360 too, via Vita and Smartglass.

you got a link for Smartglass? heard about Vita but not that

It's FPP but it shifts into TPP when you're in cover, which is close to a necessity for any shooting.  Since you can play much of the game with stealth takedowns, though, you might possibly be spending most of your time in FPP, depending on preferences.

I agree with those that said that even if it's quite late, it's a good thing anyway.
