I don't really see the point of the bump though, companies change their tune all the time. Not to mention the restructure of the executives. For all we know under Mattrick, it would have never come without the Kinect. Luckily though it's the Xboss at the reins now.

You're technically wrong, lol. In 2006, the "DualShock3" didn't exist. "Dual" and "Shock" refers to the 2 motors for vibration the controllers contain. The original PS3 controller was just named "Sixaxis" in reference to the motion-sensing tech it used.
