I think it's too bad for him that he had the misfortune of doing this under the current administration instead of the previous one.

That sentence should go to all the people at the NSA and all those involved in the last couple US administrations. (since Bush in 2000 at least). It's just unbelievable that someone who does the legitimate thing (whistleblowing to spying in a country whose constitution says spying is wrong) is arrested while government continues to get away with it's crimes, only to have the clowns that run my country only happy to help.

Close the NSA! Leave Afghanistan! Impeach Obama and the rest! And so on. America needs a president (and a senate and congress) who respects it's constitution and it's people along with the sovereignty of all other countries.

Yes, i believe manning was right in what he did and i hope Snowden stays in Russia. They are not the criminals here.

I thought he would get 100 years+.
Exposing criminality is a maximum crime in a state that is run by criminals.

He is a victim of leftist hippocrits who would have worshipped and protested for him under Bush but are now too busy licking obombas feet and keeping quiet.

And he is a victim of Bad Timing-the forgotten Daniel Ellsberg had more Luck in the 70ies when he exposed the pentagon papers and the faked reasons of the usa to make war in vietnam and keep the war going on as long as possible

I have no idea who he is. Did he kill a Trayvon Martin? I keep track of cases where Trayvon Martins were killed.

No Manning is linked with Snowden who whistleblowed the NSA's activities. For some reason, both are seen as demons by some people despite doing the right thing.

Wrong government leaker.

Snowden released a bunch of interesting and important information relating very serious crimes and abuses of liberty.

Manning leaked some minorly embarrising diplomatic cables that didn't really have anything important in them or anything that really qualfied as an abuse of power.

There is a big difference between Snowden and Manning...  Snowden deserves a pardon and a medal.   Manning does deserve jail time.  Not 35 years though, that shit is ridiculious. Time served should be fine.

35 years is too harsh
hopefully he wont stay that much long in jail

This is the first time I've ever wanted vgchartz to have a "like" system.

So are these guys actual whistelblowers, or are they spies?
I don't recall either of them actually helping us people, but I do remember Snowden basically telling all our allies that we're spying on them, and now in our two biggest problem countries, Russia and China. Don't you think it's worrying that he in a country that is rdirecetly responsible for hacking our government and national websites??
