The sad thing is Cao Pi eventually forced her to drink poison.
She was a good wife, she even encouraged him to take in more concubine to add to his prestige, how can anyone hate such an awesome waifu. :(
Also getting to love Wang Yuanji + Sima Zhao, the pair's tsukkomi boke act is great.

It was her downfall. Guo Nuwang was a homewrecker and really cemented the wall between them.
Lots of interesting stories about that threeway relationship.

I can't really blame her for trying. Harem politic is vicious and she did look after Zhen Ji's son and made no objection when he eventually became Emperor.
But I digress we're kinda getting off topic. I am pumped for this game. I forced myself not to play 8 even though I bought it just so I can play it on the PS4, very happy to see that it will have XL combined so I don't have to do the stupid swap disk thing - they really need to do this for each interation...
Also LOVE that they are bringing Yu Jin in! He is so awesome. :D

Yeah, they made it so that each battle has only one viable tactical path to follow, all others lead to doom. In practice, you do what other characters tell you to do or you're screwed. Essentially they removed all tactical freedom. Also, they screwed up the story. It still loosely follows history/the book but they put their own colors on it and trust me, they didn't know what colors were good for the story. I enjoyed the story in DW5, I hated it in DW6, and I didn't like it in DW7. Don't know how it's in DW8. I'm guessing it's better than in DW7 but still bad.
Not all is bad, though. They also changed the weapon system so each character can have two weapons. You can probably imagine what it does to characters that have a bad 'default' weapon... Yup, bad characters can be good if you pick the right second weapon. I think they also introduced some elements to battle in DW8 but again, I don't know how DW8 is. I think that's about it, though. The rest of the changes ought to be kind of insignificant.

Huuum? Dynasty Warrior 7 actually streamlined the plot to the point where it is accurate to the novel. 6 was the messed up one.

Thanks, I might check it out when I get a PS4.
Hmm, nice to know we're getting this. If the Vita version isn't too badly gimped then I'm all in, if not I'll still get the console version (PS3 or PS4, depends which I buy in the new year). NEXT was actually quite impressive graphically given that it was a launch title, hopefully this is even better

I suppose it was closer to the book but it still felt off to me. The story modes were bad due to lack of choice, they were too short for all kingdoms, and they didn't feel very connected. Well, the story modes between kingdoms felt disconnected. The battles for each kingdom's story felt well connected, of course, but that's because they oversimplified the plot. Lately I've been having more and more the feeling that KOEI doesn't have any idea what made the games good. They've been focusing on characters, especially female characters, and weapons, while neglecting story and tactical aspect of the games. In the end, all that's left is mediocre gameplay accompanied by bad story and bad characters.
...I kinda went beyond the story part there. Oh well. I'm just a bit frustrated by how KOEI handles the series when it has so much potential.
