I know you are another user but...
What make an AAA game? Because for me Journey is clearly an AAA game.
AAA is about quality and not developer size or buget.
Edit - I messed up the term AAA.

Can't wait to see how Fable Legends turns out! My favourite MS IP. I'll definitely follow this one.
And its follow-up: Fable Legends Story Tales. xD
This kind of reminds me of E3, where MS actually owned the show games-wise, but due to the different policies getting criticized, Sony could ride that wave and not really produce much noteworthy for themselves, only pointing fingers at MS.
This time, Sony probably hade the momentum games-wise, but their over-emphasizing on Indie games put a lot of people of, which in turn made the MS conference look alot better. Personally, I think GamesCom kinda sucked for both console developers...

I am pretty sure AAA means big-budget games :).

I checked and you are right... a simple definition.
"AAA game, a lingo in the video game industry for games developed for major platforms with enormous marketing budgets"
I think I'm just a guy that looks at the quality over budgets in games.

AAA is not about quality, well not only quality. CoD is a AAA franchise and every year we get the same game. Journey became big (with all reviews etc). But not a AAA game.
and reported for called me just another user :p

Why? I said another user because you are not the first guy that I asked the question... just to be clear that I was not replying to the first user... just to you.
I messed up the term AAA... means big budget
... so Journey is not one.
Edit - lol I realize late that you are joking about the report lol

I agree with you, have never been a fan of the term, it would be betetr to find another definition for high-quality games that encompass everyone no mater the budget (like Journey, Limbo and such). But I think, for promotional purposes, AAA is really important to show at something like GamesCom. What if, for example, Sony would only focus on high-quality Indie games? Then they wouldn´t be in the position they are today.
Be sensible everyone, don't be disappointed with sony since they have studios developing games for PS4 so even though they did not announce it doesn't mean there are no games. Wait for TGS/VGA for game announcements since they have 14 First party studios and already said there are 20 titles for first year. I think they wanted Indie's should have spotlight since creativity and innovation is coming more from them so its a best decision and good conference.
So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.
PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.
Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.
Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
