I didn't watch the conference but I am reading it was virtually nothing but indie games. Interesting to see how some people here will suddenly view indie games next gen now that Sony is putting forth the effort MS had this gen ;) Will have to check them out, hope they look good.

So someone recap for me... no new "AAA" PS4 games? No unknown launch titles?

All the indie look like they could have been on the PS3, even Rime, while most were also available on the PS3 or Vita.  Rime was the best looking one graphically, maybe gameplay wise as it had asort of SotC/ICO vibe going on.

Sony practically ignored indie games this past gen and now they're all indie this indie that.  It's like when they launched with the Vita and a lot of the first party titles had really intrusive touch screen gameplay and made it forced, not optional.  It's like they're late to the party but they're acting they're the first ones there and it's such a big deal.  It's a really bad quality if you ask me, because even if they're not first, you know the first setof games are going to be them constantly shoving this crap down our throats until they realize we don't care about it.

yes, the conference was a piece of crap and I know sony has big games coming like uncharted and gow but focusing on the indie games was disappointing. They should have made a nintendo direct kind of announcement instead.

Of the many studios sony has they could at least show 1 AAA title with all the other indie games and that would have been enough.

Maybe the AAA titles aren't ready to be shown yet...Did you ever think of that?

If it is like you say then it's a shame, but I doub it. Those games are supposed to be in development since at least 2011. Media Molecule, Naugthy Dog, and Santa Monica are developing games since 2011.

Not when it comes to Sony. They showed Agent, the last guardian and other games that were never released and should have never been announced but I guess we'll have to wait for tgs and the vgas. Maybe this time they have other strategy or the games are not ready to be shown as you say. who knows

I will be watching it tonight, from what I hear and see its good that the Vita got some love. But regardless of what is in there presentation I'm looking forward to watching it.

So they should have revealed all three of those studios games at Gamescom? Then what? Why would they play all their cards. They are in the lead right now, if you weren't aware of this already. Sony doesn't need to bring out all it's big guns right now because they are in a comfortable position. All I can say to you is...BE PATIENT.

I'd say if Sony's conference was a letdown then so was everyone else's and Gamescon as a whole. I'd say both Sony and Microsoft's was cool. If you thought it was going to be as big or near as big as E3, your misunderstanding

Maybe you're right, but I can't just ignore that Microsoft has shown a huge amount of games, which makes me anger since Sony has a lot more First Party Studios.
