Forums - Gaming - Physical Copy of Ducktales? What A Joke!

So I went to EB Games to pick up the physical copy of Ducktales Remastered on PS3 and the lady tells me they only got 2 copies of the game, one was pre-ordered so I had to get the display copy, I said it was okay as long as it was still mint.  The lady opens the game case and puts paper in shaped as a disc, I stop her and ask wtf shes doing, she tells me there is no actual disc, but there is a download code on the back of the paper...It didn't even come with a manual.  This has got to be the most pathetic physical copy of a game I have ever seen, I was so lucky this was the only version they had, because if I bought an unopened version they I would have been fucked.  I mean whos idea was this, what the hell is the point in even releasing a physical copy...  So just needed to vent about that, what do you guys think and have you had any similar experiences?

That's crazy! I always wondered about buying digital games from physical retail stores and how the heck that worked. There's are people that don't have internet so I thought this was a case where they made a physical copy like they did with Walking Dead. Wow.

Didn't the box say "digital copy only"?

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Capcom gonna Crapcom.

I wasn't even interested in this game and I knew the "physical copy" was just a box with a download code in it.

You have a duck in your avatar. How can you not be interested in this game?

Reported.

But... but...

>.< okay

Isn't that what those "psysical copies" of digital games are? Nintendo has download codes in stores, so the fact that this one actually has a case is quite nice I think.
