Forums - Sony - War Thunder 'harnesses power of PS4' and ready for Gamescom 2013 showcase

"Gaijin Entertainment has confirmed that it will be showcasing the PlayStation 4 version of War Thunder at Gamescom this week.

Billed as an MMO combat game with battles across land, sea and air, War Thunder will feature cross-platform battles, in-depth personalisation and ‘integrated social capabilities.’

In the press release announcing the news, Creative Director Kirill Yudintsev said: “We have harnessed the power of the PS4 to deliver cutting-edge graphics, cross platform battles with PC players, intelligent personalization and deeply integrated social capabilities to appeal to seasoned players and PlayStation enthusiasts alike.”

More details on War Thunder will be revealed later this week.

wouldn't have made a difference since pc/ps4 players can play together. I hear they are adding ground combat with tanks and navel combat too :D

it really is.  I was waiting to see what type of game sony had to counter that one, and this looks amazing

seems like consoles and pc are really almost the same next gen. even the genres successful on pc seem to take over the console world.

Some questions here...

I know you have crossplay between PS4 and PC but this crossplay permit that I play the game at home in my PS4 and at my parent's home in their PC for example?

Like I didn't need to travel my PS4 with me when I go to my parent's home... I want to use the same account/progress with the same game (buying the two versions of course).
