If the cop was lynching the black woman, then I'd agree with you in calling him racist, but that was not the case as such the cop was trying to arrest what appeared to be an unruly woman who was resisting arrest, he was then set upon by the woman in pink which caused her to get punched, if the black woman had of been a white , or had they been black/white men, the outcome would of been the same, the punch would of been thrown irrespective of gender or race.
Now had the woman in pink NOT got involved the way she did, then she would be fine. She was lucky she wasn't arrested herself for abstraction.
What part of authorized to use force if resisting arrest do they not understand?

You may not like it, but it's a crime for a reason.
One of the simplest reasons is trying to stop dumb people from getting in the way of cars, people on the road already have to concentrate on their own driving ability aswell as other drivers on the road with out having to also worry about dumb ass people randomly crossing the road and putting everyone at risk. If people need to cross the road, then use the pedestrian lights and crossing to do so.
Some times people have to be saved from their own stupidity...well try to at least.
If you wanna see what happens when no one enforces road rules for either driver or pedestrian, then look no further than the Philippines....utter chaos. I went for work there a couple of times, and once you've seen it you will appreciate the laws and relative stability allot more once you get back home.
She was jaywalking. no one was hurt on i harm her doing this.
She resisted arrest as he used excessive force which she has the human right to do. he is payed by the taxpayer and punched her.
he is wrong. I hope this coming out ruined his life.
Just because he has a badge doesnt make him not human. If he cant deal with people exacuting there right to use force back on those using force on them they he shouldnt be a cop. he is scum
Isn't this story like 3 years old?
Anyway, it seems pretty clear-cut to me. If you're trying to restrain someone, and someone else comes at you and mixes it up with you, I think you'd be perfectly justified in throwing a punch. This entire thing started because two people were being stupid, and then tried to force their way past a police officer to get out of it.
I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

protecting us from ourselves is not the role of government. protection from government is the role of government.
