I'd be cautious about making such wild predictions if I were you. Lifetime? This year? Both? 

Because this year you'll have the Wii U selling around 4mil, and the XOne selling around 2,5mil also. So the PS4 can sell over 6.5mil? With the lineup it seems unlikely. Though, it's far more likely to happen this year than any other in the foreseeable future.

It's really hard to say at this stage. I would expect a somewhat weak PS4 launch. The mass market is going to be very happy with GTA5 and COD:Ghosts on their PS360. KillZone, DriveClub and Knack are hardly exciting reasons to pick up a $400 PS4. That said, there are lots of hungry Sony fans ready to snap one up.... I just wouldn't expect mass hysteria or Wii-level hype.

So assuming at least the very high-level of launch interest that Wii U enjoyed last year, more supply and an earlier launch, we could see 3-3.5 million PS4s sold this year. That would mean Wii U would need to sell about 2-2.5 million units at Christmas. Gamecube usually managed to shift at least that much in its first few years, so I would expect Wii U to outsell PS4 in 2013, even in a best-case PS4/worst-case Wii U scenario. If Nintendo takes aggressive measures such as a price cut or heavy marketing, Wii U could possibly exceed PS4 in fourth quarter sales. It will be interesting to watch.

It'll be somewhat entertaining to see PS4/X1 sales tank after the holiday season, when all the rabid fans have purchased it and momentum comes to a halt. Every new console sells great during its launch, moreso when it launches during the holidays. After that, not so much, especially at those prices.

It will even be difficult for it to match WiiU's first month last, which was pretty good. PS4's 2 months won't outsell WiiU's 12 months.

This. People are so quick to forget that the PS4/Xbox One aren't Wiis. They'll sell alot in the holiday season, but the momentum will drop drastically right after that, like every console in video game history (besides the Wii and PS2)

i dont think they will sell out. by they will do much better than the WiiU (atleast PS4). why? it will have more games than the WiiU did this year. next gen exclusives such as Witcher and thief (also on pc) but they will help push sales. then we have exclusives from both Sony and MS and its very obvious both are much more prepared than nintendo was with the WiiU. add to that much more third party games that will launch on the systems, games like destiny, even though cross gen it will still help push sales of these tittles. add to that that these consoles provide a great leap over what is currently on the market, unlike the WiiU which provides same hourse power but uses the tablet controller as a selling point (which didnt work).

im not saying the PS4/X1 will sell millions upon millions monthly in 2014. im saying there is no way in hell they would ship just 10K in europe in a certain querter like the WiiU did
