And this game does very little different. Still 8 gyms, Elite Four, rival, towns, routes, evil team, blah blah.

As did all of the games before B/W. Yet, they sold millions more than your prediction for X/Y.

Also, the install base will grow along with X/Y. People buy Nintendo's HHs just for Pokemon. Haven't you noticed that?

Is it really that unreasonable? Ignoring the third iteration, less than half of the main series games have hit 20 million, and the last release of such a duo was for the Game Boy Color. I''m not saying it's impossible, but Pokemon is going to have to have a bit of a revival for it to sell above 20 million, considering how B/W only sold about 15 million.

I see what you are saying, but those games were just new Pokemon and a graphical update. Some gameplay changes too such as IVs and EVs and Physical/Special split. But this gen has added the most by far. In addition to new Pokemon there are way more features. But the biggest selling point is the full 3D experience. This is every Pokemon fans dream being realized lol. I haven't bought 5th gen ,but I will not miss out at all. it is possible for XY to sell less than 20m, but the positive reaction so far points to it being a  big hit

People have to get tired of them reskinning the same game sometime.

ok out of all the things, this one is one of the worse, i dont kno why you expect 12mil lifetime O.o ... That said its alot more than wat you put. But no point in arguing since you made up your mind

I count the games seperately as people double up on the two games often, even in this thread someone said so, so 7m Pokemon X, or 7m Y.



that excuse again, ok but your probably one out of 10 people in the world that counts them as different games, you kno everybody i putting predictions in for xy so you dont have to put 7mil, say 14mil. stop trying to prove a point. Its 1 game with seperate content, just like a black 3ds and a pink 3ds, you have the choice of a color, they dont count as two different handhelds
