Forums - General - dead pixel :(

aaaaaaaaaaaargh.. there is nothing more annoying.

Nintendo has a policy that if there's even one, a DS can be replaced. There was a bright red one right in the middle so I got it replaced immediately and Nintendo is good to its customers like that.. when Dell says you have to have six.. Ugh my laptop is 3 months old so I can't just return i. fuckfuckfuck.

Do any of the rest of you have this problem or am I just being neurotic?

Im the type when I buy anything I want it to be in perfect shape.
I had a pixel missing and I called nintendo and they would gladly exchange for a new one or refurbished.

But I never took the time to send it lol.

Plus if you live close to Redmond, Wa you'll get it back faster and whatnot

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

I pick neurotic. Not a fan of dell though.

All the console makers are getting good at replacing damaged consoles to customers. Maybe Microsoft should look at doing the same for the companies that sell there products to customers(EB games in australia). They need these companies on their side not Nintendos or Sonys, as they are struggling at the moment.

Can you really notice one dead pixel on a monitor?

I've never experienced one on any of the DS's I've seen, however I've seen plenty on PSP's.

Wow, I had a bright red dead pixel on my DS Lite as well!

It was there since I bought it...it took me almost a year ...I'm just too damn lazy.  But right before I was about to send it back to Nintendo, the damn pixel came back to life!  Freaking amazing!

But I think it was just Nintendo trying to save money by using magic instead of repair services.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Laptop screens have significantly more pixels than a DS screen. If Dell was to replace every screen because of a single dead pixel, they'd probably go out of business. Not that it doesn't suck for you of course.

Personally, I have 2 Dell screens that are 1920x1200 (24" monitor + a 17" laptop) and I can't say I've noticed any dead pixels on either of them.

I have never seen a dead pixel on a DS and I know 11 people who owns one.

I'm neurotic as well.  I was so worried I'd get a dead pixel on my new 52" LCD TV.  Fortunately I didn't    8)

My wife had a dead pixel on her old classic DS.  I didn't realize we could've had it replaced.  Good to hear
