Forums - Sony Discussion - Twisted Metal Confirmed for PS3

...And Jaffe is working on it. Apparently there was a number code on a video in Twisted Metal: Head On and it was cracked by people on Gamefaqs. David Jaffe had previously mentioned on the Playstation Nation podcast that the next game of Eat Sleep Play is hidden on TM: Head On. Just yesterday Jaffe said they were working on a big game for the next instead of a small downloadable one (Calling All Cars) and that it would be out in '09.

now I have to buy a ps3.

Never been a huge fan of the series, but good news nonetheless. Twisted Metal 2 was the shit. I never tried Twisted Metal: Black.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Ooooommgggggg this BETTER be true! Suweet, make it happen, NOW.

I have a feeling this version is gonna be more like mario kart.. anyone else think that?

Like crazy over the top "gun cars" racing each other? that would be pretty awesome

There's no way it's on PS3 without online, it might even be sold online via download a la Warhawk.

For sure, especially after they already kind of know the PSN infrastructure after making Calling All Cars.

@Weezy: The Twisted Metal games have NEVER been racers. Pure, (un?)adulturated car combat!

This could very well be the first PS3 game that's a first-day buy for me
Will need to buy more controllers tho...

Greatest characters: Axel and Mr. Grimm. This is unarguable and you are a fanboy if you say otherwise XD

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Well I meant this version in particular for ps3

I knew TM is like a battle arena for cars with guns.

I was just thinking maybe they'll make it alittle different this time..not saying the old formula is "bad"
