Forums - Gaming - Why Are You Mad At Gamestop? You Should Be Mad At Nintendo.

Just make an hd wii u version

Nintendo is doing everything to stop piracy, so why not print the damn games so they can stop people for having to pirate games, not to mention gamestop earning money in this way. Be mad at both!

Hmm... but would there be a supply issue if it weren't exclusive to Gamestop? I wonder what the full extent of the issue really is. It would look like it's Nintendo's doing, but I am not entirely sure that this goes 100% towards Nintendo.

First and foremost people should be mad at themselves for passing up on this game in the first place.

I'm not mad at myself, I'm not made of money, there was probably other games I wanted to get at that time and I didn't think the price would quadruple in a few short months.  I guess I was crazy for assuming if people wanted to give Nintendo their money Nintendo would print more copies and let them huh?

Of course, people really wanted a 3dsxl a few years ago. Thought 3ds was too small. Should gamestop just went and had their endineers make their own bigger version? Where does this end?

That's completely different.  Your giving an example of something that wasn't even out yet, something that wasn't even announced, Xenoblade has been out for years.

Yes, you were. An announced limited print run should have conveyed what's up. You should have spent your money on the game that wasn't going to get cheaper instead of games that were certain to drop in price.

Even if it was announced as a limited print before it came out, which I obviously didn't know about, that still doesn't mean Nintendo can't change their minds and print more copies after hearing the outcry from their fans and after seeing the game selling online for $200, hell they could have even rereleased it as a player's choice edition.

The people that are getting mad at Gamestop are the ones that already have Xenoblade, because since there is kind of a re-release, it means their copies aren't worth as much because they aren't rare. The consumers that don't have Xenoblade (like me) are happy because it means the value of the game goes down, so I don't have to pay as much for it as I might have otherwise.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

So whenever enough people want an old game companies should just produce more? Or else?

Old game?  The outcry started less than a year after it released.

Next time buy "X" from Monolith Soft at launch, and stop crying, even if you don't have a Wii U by that time.
A lot of those crying babies were the ones bitching about the kiddy Wii, now they want games for it.

Came here to say this ! It was available through Gamestop and Nintendo´s website long enough but people said "eventually"...yeah, shit happens ! Anyone could have bought it for (50 bucks I assume) near releasedate and we wouldn´t have this problem....or better yet: Anyone who was interested could have preordered it in this special case (it was clear from the very beginning that the supply was very limited) to help Nintendo gauge the demand !
