Now if you asked me this question a few months ago I would have said DS hands down, but recently I started PSP collecting again and there are so many amazing games that just went under my radar.  The PSP has so many great games, but the thing is they are not as popular as some of the big Nintendo exclusives on the DS so they get overlooked and people say the DS has the better library.  Now personally I'm a sucker for JRPGs so I gotta say the PSP has the better library of games, don't get me wrong I love my DS and have like 40 games for it and it has its fair share of great JRPGs, but it does not compare to the amount on the PSP.  I have been playing on my PSP way more than any of my other consoles.  So which one do you guys think has the better library of games?

Only gamers that use/used both handhelds should answer this Question. I only gamed on a couple games on psp so i cant compare

I own both and for me the winner is the PSP. While the DS had better SNES-Graphics in my opinion the PSP was between the PS1 and the PS2.

Games like Kingdom Hearts: Birth by sleep, Final Fantasy Dissidia or Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 were absoluty brilliant. I have seen nothing on the DS that could rival these games.

The DS was a good handheld, but the PSP hat those few outstanding games that made it my favourite out of the two.

Well I do own both, the thing that I liked more about the psp was the massive selection of JRPGs. The DS also had some great titles that I enjoyed like radiant historia & and Suikoden tierkreis.

But in terms of hours spent on each console I defiantly spent more time on my psp.

The PSP has Maverick Hunter X, a remake of Mega Man X which is the best game ever made. That makes the Remake the second best game ever made, therefore, PSP wins with Maverick Hunter X alone.

PSP never had one game that had my interest, even PSVita beats it in that regard. DS had plenty, so to me it's unlikely that a system that held none of my interest whatsoever would beat a system that did.

DS had the best handeld games.

PSP had a lot of home console's "quality" game.

KH:BBS for example, lacked interest as an handeld game ; in comparison with 358/2 days wich had meh graphics, but a lot of content and shorter missions (you could make a mission in 20-30 minutes, then save and come back later, compared to BBS on wich playing less than 1 hour lacked sense, and that's bad for a handeld.

I had both, and they both had great games tough, they were really the RPGs consoles (Kingdom Hearts, Persona 1, 2, 2bis, 3 portable; Disgaea 1-2 on both, Solatorobo, FF1-2-3-4-5, Crisis core)

I really loved both consoles, and if I went back I would still buy both.

The two had a freaking lot of great games.

Edit : Please add a both option to the poll. I really can't say wich was better.

on psp I had vice/liberty city stories, gun, gran torismo, ghosts of sparta, and little big planet.. I hated the last 3, gt had no customizatiion, sparta felt pointless, lbp was hollow. I loved vice, liberty, & gun. Having an open world in my pocket was/is what I want. Sad thing is these games' worlds are the same as consoles. Aside from the radio stations and a subpar story there wasn't anything new. Still beat them.

Ds, I had brain age, sudoku, m64, phantom hourglass, nsmb, lost in blue, huntrrs, mario kart, and my gba library. I'm a metroid gamr and I hated hunters. It's better suited on adobe flash player. I beat everything else but lost in blue. Good game though, very original. Hourglass was ok, not legend status. Marios were fun, m64 had lotsa novelty but almost same as console. Nsmb was really good at the time. Way too easy though.

The best games were brain age and sudoku. Strange as it may be, I had more fun withthose 2 games then all the others. Hours and hours and hours. Those sre my tastes, take fromit whatyou will.

i think theyre tied in terms of Japanese style content.but the DS crushes PSP in western style

Everyone would just choose both then.
