i disagree especially in the last few ones. Ryu Ken, Akuma Sakura they all have different supers for one. fox/falco/wolf there all the same. plus some shotos have moves that the others dont cant say the same for fox/falco/wolf

Fox/Falco/Wolf are all the same at first glance but anyone who spends a bit of time playing the game knows they have a lot of differences. For starters, they all have different standard attacks. As for special moves, they do have the same moves but each has variation that make them very different fighters:

Fox's laser doesn't cause any stun and is ultra fast and weak, Falco is slower but causes stun, Wolf's is very slow but has higher damage and stun
Fox's reflector is fixed on him, Falco kicks his reflector, Wolf's is similar to Fox's (it has some minor differences such as reduced knockback)
The Up-B (Fire Fox) is the same for Falco and Fox but Wolf's is quicker and has more knockback
The Side-B is very similar between Fox and Falco but Wolf has an angle that changes how it's used in battle greatly.

So like I said before both Brawl and SFIV have their share of "clones" to the casual player but in both cases if you spend time with everyone of them you learn they are different fighters.

At first I was like "don't even get me started on the Smash community" but then I read the OP as was like "lol those guys aren't the dedicated fans anyway".

The only characters that were toooo similar was in Melee (young link/pichu/Dr.Mario/Roy) also Ganondorf is just the dumbest thing sakari did . that said other characters played different, Ex i can play mario+ness competitive but i suck with Luigi+Lucas!!!

What do you have againist Ganondorf?

That's true but it's not the dumbest thing Sakuari did. That would be Meta Knight.

Plus Sonic Advance 1-3, Sonic Adventure 1-2, Sonic heroes, Sonic Rush 1-2,Shadow, secret rings, black knight, unleashed, colors, upcoming Lost world. Sonic has been aligned with Nintendo consoles since being 3rd. At this point Sonic and Mario are nearly Nintendo characters. I dont want it to fully happen of course but it would not be shocking if it did.


Stop?  Did I start something?  You said a proper history right?  Smash Bros is known to have first party characters in their games which none of these characters are.  In some cases they have missed games on a nintendo console completely (Especially Sonic and Snake) and I wouldn't really call that a "Proper History."

And you can say Goku is not a video game character but then again Dragon Ball has over 80 games that has been made and 37 million copies sold.  Something that the majority of Smash Bros characters can't say.  Kind of sounds like a video game character to me.  That is like saying Batman Arkham Asylum is not a video game because batman appeared in comic books and movies as well.

Now I'm fine with you saying you don't like the idea of them being in the game or that people need to shutup about them, but to say 0% for characters without a "proper history" when Nintendo seems to be giving a few a little airtime themselves while also partnering with Capcom(EDIT: Namco Bandai) to make the new smash bros.

Don't tell me to stop either.  Just because you disagree with me does not mean that you should tell me to stop(Only made one comment).  I appreciate you using exclusive examples but my "opinion" on "proper history" has not changed.
