To say that Pikmin released last week but U HW didn't fall at all, that's not too bad. If it stays this way then maybe we could be nudging 50k soon.

You have to admit Pezus, that selling even that low level of hw numbers for a console with no games for months and such low level of popularity is something to be proud of...

Winning Europe means pulling big numbers late in a console's life cycle.  I think that's something we should all remember when we're judging consoles at launch.

I agree. The thing is also that it will be hard to see any effect from this game as it gets closer to the holidays and normal rises in system sales occur. The minimal boost from Pikmin was even lower than my prediction of making U sales close to 360 sales numbers. I think Nintendo will not dominate holiday sales for once and I am glad.

I know the question is not aimed at me but I couldn't resist responding to it.

The way I see it Nintendo have absolutely nothing to be proud of being in this position to start with. Releasing a new home console with no decent games in the current market and thinking it will hit your sales target is madness.

As it stands your comments on the wii u remind of the boxer who got his ass totally whupped and knocked out but was proud he got a punch in.

I am sure Nintendo will turn it around but looking for positives within the wii u's current situation is ..

Personally I think it is a great console - OK, that is based on playing Nintendo Land - and will surprise many with graphics closer to the PS4 than most think.

In a few months it will all be a lot clearer. I am sure things will pickup a whole lot when people get a chance to compare all three consoles capabilities and conclude that the wii u is not as underpowered (and not worth the money) as is stated all over the internet but a worthy contender.

What exactly is the logic here?  Whether we are looking at the old numbers for the 27th or the adjusted numbers your comment doesn't really make sense.  If we look at the original numbers, the boost in Europe was only 1,031.  Not something that will lead to 50k anytime soon.  If we look at the adjusted numbers then 55% of the boost was bled off.

Of course VGC also showed Nintendo Land at 31 last week in the UK while it was at best 42 according to Chart Track.

50k? Soon? whats soon? its barely doing 30k now, outside of holiday boost and Mario and maybe Zelda i dont see it doing 50k anytime soon
