The only time I went for high score was when I broke the top 150 in Game Dev Story.

Would've been much higher if there weren't so many hackers on the high score list.

Nice. The only thing I've every been close to ranking number one in is Guitar Hero World Tour. I wasn't the highest score on the leaderboards due to the fact that if you use the drums you have a chance at almost twice the amount of points but I was using guitar on a Nirvana song and ended up with the best possible guitar score and last time I checked I was in the top ten overall score and still #1 guitar score. Pretty amazing considering the sales of that game and how many people played it.
