well, mario galaxy got the most votes of all exclusives so in reality the final should have been skyrim vs. mario galaxy so if you want to argue like that, yeah it's pretty bad that mario had skyrim as competitor in the first round and maybe mario would have won the poll if skyrim would be only on one system.

I would give you LBP, but putting wii sports in it is like putting just dance, both are innovative but not game of the year material to be even considered for game of the generation. 

So, a game can't be the game of the generation just because it is multiplat? That doesn't sound fair.

Two Bioshocks and only one Nintendo game?

Its a poll on a retailer... of course it will contain games that sold a lot and likely to win.

However, the only way to be "fair" would be for it to look at ALL games released in the year and compare sales vs % of ratings etc and so forth.

C'mon... its a UK poll... I mean the UK... why are we even talking about this..

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that internet polls always accurately reflect reality.
