I really don't think that bundling really accounts for that much of sales.  On paper it may look like that, but I can guarantee that a large percentage of those people would have bought a system and a game popular enough that it already sold 15m without bundling.  Of course, bundling still happens because it helps encourage people to buy now.  I don't think most people buy a bundled system without thinking about the game that it's bundled with.

The 3DS won't have 18 5 Million plus sellers. There are a lot of overly positive predictions in this thread.

The most it'll get would be 15-16. So close, but no cigar.

Honestly, I think this also depends on #1 How long the 3DS will last and #2 What games are in store for the 3DS in the future.

True, but I personally see no new IP's selling 5 Million + on the 3DS. Nor do I see very many sequels to the games already on the 3DS.

Also, the 3DS' peak year will either be next year, or 2015. After that, it should slow down and start dropping.

there are 4 now! Luigi's Mansion 2 should be another along with Pokemon X/Y, Pokemon Z, Pokemon Ruby Sapphire Remakes. Thats 4 more and if another pokemon gen comes to 3DS then thats another two 5million sellers right there :)

What do you mean by "there are 4 now"? Do you mean there are 4 sequels to games already on the 3DS?

I do think it would be difficult, but I have hopes that the monolith soft game will be able to push 5 million +.

Really, I think the 3DS' success also depends on how the game market itself.  I mean, it's really hard to say what will happen.  I'm trying to stay optimistic considering when I got the 3DS, I didn't actually expect the amount of content that I got out of it.  I'm hoping it will maintain that.
