I'm not going to reply to you all, but none of those games are remakes. At best, they are enhanced ports. Ocarina of Time 3D is the only one that doesn't fit any of those, being a remastering.
Link's Awakening DX should NOT be listed as a remake because it is by no definition a remake.

Either way, my point still stands. Also, Twilight Princess on Wii is just as different as all the other games listed besides Ocarina of Time 3D. Don't say I'm wrong because those other "remakes" you're listing are barely different from one another.

While u make a strong point, its a whole different situation. The examples given were rereleases many years later. Twilight Princess was basically released at the same time so people bought it on the more popular platform.

^ No, at this present point in time, you're an idiot. You continue to ignore the fact that the 3DS iterations of Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Animal Crossing, and Luigi's Mansion are selling faster than their predecessors. And show me a Zelda remake that sold better than Ocarina of Time 3D.

So, you're assuming that those games will beat their predecessors? Ok but that's still an assumption and you cannot say it's a fact until it happens.

And how many Zelda remakes have there been on the DS to compare OoT 3D to?

I think we should compare like with like - afterall, the platform that the 3DS needs to be compared to is the DS.

well then neither can you

I'm just basing that on the facts that we have right now. How do the sales of Mario Kart on the DS and 3DS compare? How do the sales of the Mario platformer compares on the DS and 3DS? There you are.

And all those graphs/charts arent based off facts?

... Wii wasn't more popular than Gamecube in 2006.  Wii LAUNCHED in 2006.  Gamecube had the higher install base.  It doesn't matter if were months or years apart, it still stands that the Wii version sold more.  Plus, I already acknowledge that Zelda games released at the end of a consoles life sells less than one in the beginning or middle.  If you look at the charts, you'll see it's true.  Either way, I was just being a devil's advocate.  I do think Ocarina of Time 3D sold well for what it is.

I honestly hope the 3ds sells more but the possibility is slim. I look at it this way, games are getting bigger taking longer to make and getting more expensive. The economy worldwide is in a continuous downslide, and cellphones are getting more and more crazy. The ds is astounding in the sales it received for hardware and software, and unless the economy picks up SOON I just can't imagine systems selling the same ever again. The only thing I think will save the market is more fresh brand new games/franchises. PLEASE bring more open world 3d platformers to the market with rpg elements. (level up =higher jump for instance) Just off the top of my head as examples banjo kazooie, conkers bad fur day, spyro, rocket robot on wheels donkey kong 64, jak and daxter, ratchet and clank.....the gaming market is getting to big, most people see 3 consoles and 2 handhelds but I see emulation and OS which will continue to steadily rise, I just think to many people who like video games but can't be classified as "gamers" will go to their phone they have already spent money on to play their casual games, just remember the phone you had the first few years after the ds released nov. 2004-2008 games couldn't compare to the ds or psp (maybe some lets not argue) and now phones are capable of making bigger flashier games than the 3ds. You factor in the release of the ps4 and what I think will be a sales explosion for the vita and you have a very slim chance. My final point, 18 games!!!! that is truly amazing.

Favorably for the 3DS, and that's the truth.

You do know you're making a stupid point here.  For the games NOT to beat their predecessors, the game has to suddenly stop selling at some point.  Considering the time it has been since the release of these games, it's much less of an assumption and more of an inevitability.

I agreed with u up until I saw Vita sales explosion. I think it will start doing much better but explosion sounds a bit dramatic.
