Do you know how much it cost them? If chump change then it probably doesn't mean much, but if not...!?

I doubt it costs much just for a website. It's not like it even has anything on it. Just a poster.


But that poster could be worth one billion dollars!!!

 

So the ingame magazines serve no other purpose than to just be a collectible? (I haven't beaten the game yet)

Yeah they are just collectibles. You get a trophy when you collect them all I think.



Hrms, well I suppose it's possibly a hint. They had to have been working the game or atleast coming up with ideas while TLOU was in development. The magazine covers could have been concept art or something. During the announcement of the game, I could see them saying "If you played the last of us, then you've already got a glimpse of our new game! Now here it is!" That would be pretty cool! ^_^

I don't think Sony ever owned it.

Just did some research. Looks like Sony published the IP up until 2000 and then someone else got the rights to it or something (don't know full details). The last Naughty Dog Crash game was released in 1999 and it was Crash Team Racing. 2001 they started with Jak and then it went on from there.

Uncharted was a launch title on vita made by a different studio and yet it is by far the best selling game on the system.

Sony would be crazy to not make another.
