Forums - Nintendo - The "Wii U Haz No Games" Label Gone In A Month?

Technically it always had games so that statement was false to begin with.

Virtual console or PS Classic games don't count as that consoles library. If we counted PSX/PSP games on the Vita and the consoles supported on virtual console, then the PSP, PS3, and Wii would be the best systems this past gen and the Vita, PS4, and Wii U would be the best systems this gen, but you have to count a console on its own merits. Ports are fine, but no one counts emulation, even if it's officially supported emulation.

And this.  As long as the Wii U has two or more games then it has games.

I tend to agree, though I think Earthbound on the Wii U is a little bit of an exception as it's an extremely rare title and there's probably even a lot of Nintendo fans who have never played it.

Yet none of them are enough to justify a 350 dollar purchase.

I beg to differ, the following are well worth the price of admission: NSMB U, Luigi U, ZombiU, Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Batman Arkham City and Pikmin 3 before you start to think about the indie titles and VC titles available from the eShop.

Lego city and Batman are on last gen consoles. MH3 ultimate is a port with extra featres. Unless someone is a big mario fan or a lover of 2d platformers zombi U and pikmin 3 do not justify the purchase of a 350 dollar system.

I'm not saying the wii u has no games, but it doesn't yet have the experience which directly makes you go out and buy the system.

qft, imo.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

Well they do, but only to very few people, hence the small hardware boost in Japan. What they need is a big robust library of games to appeal to all kinds people, giving them many incentives to purchase a Wii U, and thankfully they're slowly but surely reaching this goal of having said library.

Everyone knows Nintendo has games, Nintendo launched their platform with terrible timing. The actual games are coming in the second and third year. Then again, Sony had that issue as well this gen where the titles started to build up in the two years later.

Lego City is exclusive !

The $350 price point is going the way of the dinosaur in the next few weeks anyway I think. There's so many retail price cuts already happening, an official price cut can't be far off. Probably with Zelda WW HD I think there will be a price cut + new bundle (Nintendo Land + Wind Waker for $299.99).
