Played a bit of Pikmin game in Nintendo Land. Seemed fun. I'll try the gamecube/wii ones first as they are cheaper at the moment. I like how you do your verdict parts.

Kim lives across the ocean. Exotic continent of Europia.
8.3 is a fair score, and as I've not been able to play the game yet, I won't be able to question it. Once I get it... I'll be sure to let you know how much I agree or disagree with your assessment. Even though I doubt you care, Rol.
Although, two-player co-op is unnecessary. I wouldn't be bothered if it was added, but I'm pretty sure Pikmin games are meant to be played as if you were all by yourself on a search in a distant planet. I think making you control each Captain individually adds to the complexity of the game in some sorts.
| RolStoppable said: Yes, Pikmin games are meant to be played as if you were all by yourself, that's why they give you more than one protagonist. You know, I could accept your argument for Secret of Evermore, because the two protagonists aren't equal. But for Pikmin... no, just no. |
I was going to submit to the fact that they ruined this factor because of having multiple captains, but then I posted the last bit. Which I think actually is quite true seeing as how the game is supposed to be a Strategy game.
Do we really need 2 player co-op?
I mean, it would be a nice addition, but I really don't see myself playing with another human. You should know what you want to do and the other guy will not guess what your strategy is.
This is all based on several frustration from playing with another person in Pikmin's 2 mission mode though.

Yet they have no problem to add co-op to the mission mode which requires more strategy due to the time limits being stricter than in the campaign. |
There has almost always been two-player in the Mission Mode. It's a sub-game type thing.
I'm not saying that there shouldn't be co-op, because for people like you it matters, but for me (and others) it just doesn't.

There is a world outside the US. ;)

Really? What if the US IS the world and we are just a bunch of AI in a simulation of human life, able to communicate with our creators (which can use avatars for more direct conversation) through the internet? Can you disprove this theory?
