Forums - Microsoft - Mass Effect DLC Announced... You WILL scream!

90 minutes for $5 seems about right. I've spent about that much for 90-minute-long games on the Virtual Console.

Plus, since this is Bioware we're talking about here, you just know that the new content is going to be rife with detail.

I see where you're coming from, but I don't think it's reasonable to compare 90 minutes of Mass Effect to 90 minutes of R-Type III (or something).  We're talking about a game that has 40+ hours of gameplay to begin with; to add 90 minutes on to that is much less exceptional when taking this into account.  And like Twesterm says, will it really be different enough to warrant a purchase?  Why not just go and play through one of the main missions again?

However, I'm not saying it definitely won't be worth it, or that I won't buy it.  Just that I'll wait to see some impressions on the final product before deciding to purchase.

Hates Nomura.

The big question is what KIND of content we're getting.

Is this a new solar system? With what kind of planet?

It wont be a very good deal if it's one of those generic randomized worlds, with a fetch & kill quest.

However, if we're talking a planet with the content level near something like.......Ferros or Noveria, it'd be a great deal.

*edit* I see Batarians. 2 of them, actually. This is most welcome. Its good to see that the DLC will actually add to the world and lore of ME, and not just add on to pre-existing ideals. Hopefully this asteroid station is large. Mako-sized or not, it could be interesting. At 90 minutes, I'd assume it's not just a simple quest inside one of the 4-ish pre-done buildings.

At $5, this is day-1. Anyone else notice it'll rack in 50GS? That would make me assume they're planning bigger, better content down the road.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Yeah, an extra mission like Feros or Noveria ... actually - two solar systems seems about right.

Let me talk to my sources ...

Here's the backstory ...

I think I'll wait for the second game, unless it's really good.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Well I enjoyed this game and $5 really isn`t too bad even if it is only 90 minutes of gameplay. So I`ll probably get it down the track.

Yeah, sounds great.
I will be buying it for sure. I wouldn't mind if new DLC planets opened up that did not offer much for game play, but were free.

They should just keep expanding the Universe.

The game makes me want a version of Mass Effect that is an MMORPG.
Yeah an MMORPG Mass Effect would be incredible.

̶3̶R̶D̶   2ND! Place has never been so sweet.

I'll gladly pay a measly $5 for this DLC...I hope Bioware can drip feed the content every couple of months or so until Mass Effect 2 drops...

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

Sounds like excellent news to me, I'll be sure to get it.
