Trying? Its fact that Xbox was better built and more reliable then PS2. It wasn't a huge gap like 360 to PS3, but it was clear Xbox was the winner that gen in that regard.

If you refuse to see that for what it is, then you are in your own bubble im afraid. Again, try to be openly aware of your own bias, but try not to use said bias to skew actual history.

Show me this "fact".

That is honestly your response?

Im sorry i don't have a spreadsheet handy. It is just a general consensus of that time. Xbox generally didn't fail. PS2 had a disc read problem. It was nowehere close to 360 failure rates compared to the PS3 YLOD, but it was generally accepted that the Xbox was just a solid machine.

You are welcome to play the "If you don't provide a works cited page from at least 6 historically accurate scholary logs then I don't believe you" then fine. It just goes to show the differences between a fan that embraces who he is, and those who are oblivious to it.

Xbox was more reliable then PS2 but PS3 was way more reliable then 360. AT least take comfort in that your example happened much more recently then mine. MS certainly has a lot to prove with X1 reliability, but don't assume they ALWAYS had a bad track record with Xbox consoles. Far from it.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Disc Read Error was rampant on the PS2. The failure rate was high. Didn't they get sued for faulty hardware?

Disk read errors where any easy fix. The fail rate was in line with industry standards. If it seemed like xbox failed less is because less systems where made. And in no way can be considered a better product. Percent of fail is whats important here. Not numbers of units. Keep it up sales. And your the last person on this site that needs to talk about other peoples basis

Were they? You have proof? I never knew the rate exactly

1-3 percent. Pretty standard. Ill see if I can find it when I get home.

Just the underlined?

Are we arguing Microsoft makes better hardware now? Really?

(EDIT: oh ps2 vs xbox 1 nevermind. Who cares at this point...?)

Yes, some how because ps2 had an acceptable failure rate. Sony and ms are on equal footing althoght the 360 is quite possibly the worst consumer electronic device ever.

Well my ps2 from 2003, my xbox 1 from 2004, and my ps3 from 2008 are still working to this day. My cousin's 360 lasted about 3 months soooo lolololol.
