I dont know what youre yapping about choosing to live in a country. Even if i lived in the US $27 is a ridiculous price for a $20 card and i will still have to pay extra (not as much) for shipping. Its stupid and i think it makes more sense to ask Nintendo to change their policies or at least provide an alternative. EA is a very crappy, anti consumer company but at least they allowed me to buy Battlefield DLC on Origin with no hassle.

It's whatever price they charge you. Companies don't "be nice" and lower their prices just because you don't like it.

Nah i want to use my credit card to buy on the eshop immediately. I dont want to wait long periods for a over priced card to buy a game. Also its a eshop petition.....I want to access the eshop in my region so i can buy games with my credit card. Smaller crappy companies can provide this service to me so it should be no problem for Nintendo.

well... I live in South America, and I know that the WiiU hasn´t been officially released in my region yet.

One thing that I know prevent it to be released here is the absurdity of some of my country´s tax laws, other would be the lack of a proper Nintendo representative in the region.

So, what I did was to create a second account with an U.S. address and buy prepaid cards on digital shops to put funds on it. I need to change the console region in order to do that.

As for credit cards, I avoid to use them out of my region, but if you still want to use it, then create an account with a Canadian address, Canadian eshop accepts credit cards from all over the world, unlike U.S.´s eshop

Didnt know this. Will try it later today and let you guys know if it works thx.

i feel for you,. but not enough to put my name down though. sorry but g'luck.

I live in south america too! And the funny thing is even Sony doesn't know we exist! The year before the PSN was UP. After like 5 or 6 years of being on other countries and what is worse... It was overpriced as hell! 90 dollars for Dead Space 3? Are you nuts Sony? XD

Anyway there is something you can do I think. You can set your console in a different country can't you? Like with the 3DS. Or like in PSN, make an account with a US adress or something! If you need to charge the wallet, buy the pre-paid codes!

Yeah i have already been given two alternatives so far that would make more sense for my situation.

No i cant even access the eshop in my region. The only way i get access to it is if i make a US account and change the country settings to USA on the console but even then i cant buy the games because my credit card needs to have a USA address attached to it. There are $20 points cards on Amazon for $27 dollars and it makes no sense ordering them because i would have to pay around the same price just for shipping. Basically i would be paying around $50 just to have $20 credit on the Wii U. Its frustrating because i cant even buy games that would not be avaliable on disc.

That's a little different.

"I can't buy them" =/= "they're too expensive". You choose to live in a country, you get whatever price it is.

Wow.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Meh.

I just use a Canada account since that store takes any credit card.

Cool man! I hope you can buy stuff without problems! I already did with my 3DS and I'm very happy with it
