Forums - Sony - Rumor update: PS4 reserves up to 5GB of RAM for games [Update: 'Absolutely false', 6GB hinted]

I think the bigger news is DF got banned from Neogaf. I'm sure the dude that's been spreading FUD is a little worried about his job right now, and he should be. In just a few weeks he's trashed DF name. And i for one will have a hard time believing anything they say from here on out.

First DF were claiming 4,5gb for games, 1gb flexible, after an update 4,5gb for games, 512mb flexible. Both from anonymous sources.

How much does PS4 really uses for games and OS? I don't know, but I would wait before jumping the gun until there is an official statement by Sony (which may never happen) or wait for an statement by a named developer.

I know one thing though - DF knows shit about the ammount of RAM allocated, all they do is guesswork which they were stating as facts.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

"Absolutely false" : So we have a confirmation on this from Sony finally?
This is good; either way it is not a big deal anyway.
Not sure why you created another thread tho; instead of posting it in the one other existing one.

I'm not claiming this to be true, but don't dev kits have more RAM than the retail units? So are we sure that the 6GB are coming from the total retail PS4 amount and not from the increased dev kit amounts?

Knew it was better to stay quiet on this one. Oooo I saw so many people getting in a tizzy who were so wary of next gen console rumours before :p

It's not interesting, it's annoying and baffling.
