I´ve stated it several times. In resume, they support the idea of making videogames as big as movies (talking about costs), and in my opinion, that will lead to a videogame crash. What Microsoft tried to do with all that stuff (drm, online, etc), was trying to find a way to prevent that crash, because they know the market isn´t so big to compensate the costs this upcoming gen will bring.

I don't understand why people in general as well as the media overreact and concoct their own assumptions about gaming. Microsoft was only trying to bring gaming to the next level. Lets be realistic and all who say oh, I just want a console that is gaming only focused. Quit fooling yourself, that's like cell phones. They are a platform tailored for multiple areas if media and tasks. Quit whining and let them bring tech to the next level.

Well they tried. In the end they would have just killed themselves because Sony didn't go for shafting their consumers (too). They might still end up killing themselves though.
