I love how this PS3 game looks vastly superior graphically to Knack on PS4.

Eh, it's not vast, not at all, but even if it was, sense would ring to it. It's a late generation PS3 game vs a 1st generation PS4 game. A 2017/18 PlayStation game of comparability (which is a stretch here, as is) will circle this like it didn't exist. OT: I didn't have much interest in this before, but I think I may check it. |
I meant more in terms of aesthetics. Puppeteer looks fabulous; Knack looks bland.

Still, two different games aiming at two different things. Knack is even full 3D while Puppeteer isn't. Being that it is a rushed launch game, I just don't see how they can be realistically compared. |
They can be compared as two cartoonish games releasing on Playstation systems close to each other, kinda like comparing NSMBU to Mario Galaxy 2. (In which the game for the weaker system also looks better)

Bit childish is it not? He asked an honest question. one the original poster felt like they needed to. If someone is being bias why is it such a bad thing for that to be pointed out? It really takes away someone credability to if they are biased so why try to ban an honest person for asking an honest question.
I think the worst part is he actually was banned for that. He wasnt any more off topic then you were. asking why someone quoted in the original post, that the poster claimed was not a valid source, suddenly changes their mind about the company.
Maybe some people really need to mature a little before being allowed on a message board where all opinions should be welcomed not bullied for asking a question and then told you have no right to speak for a few days
OT: games looks interesting but I will wait to see how it turns out. Cant tell you how many of these I have read for other games and they come out and are not that great.

Well, sure, if we stretch it to that degree, though I wouldn't compare those two either - very different expectations of each engine. But even then, it's not a vast, graphical, difference in favor of either previous gen title (and fits in with what I'm saying about last vs first). |
I disagree, I think Puppeteer and Galaxy 2 have a very clear visual edge over Knack/NSMBU respectfully. They may have lower screen resolution due to weaker hardware, but their effects, lighting, and style are just so much more eye-pleasing.
Is this the 1st platformer in a while that doesn't have 60fps? Just curious.
Sonic Generations was 30 I think. But that was 3D. What bout 2D?

I believe it is, since LBP 2. |
Alright that just confirms that my ability of distinguishing when a game if 30fps or 60fps is along the lines of "Something's a bit strange but it's fine I guess"
Guess this will be very well playable then. Should look into it when I get around to buying that PS3.

Cool looking game. Sad to know that Sony will just let it die. I'm a die hard Sony fan and I have no idea when this game is even releasing, what makes you think the average consumer will know? God I just wish Sony would somewhat advertise the smaller games. I thank them for having variety and a large amount of games but they need to let people know about these smaller titles.

I don't think that's a Sony-specific problem, Nintendo and Microsoft send their less well known IPs out to die as well.
