Do you agree with the list?

Except for one or two I d... 26 43.33%

I disagree with most of t... 13 21.67%

They are all wrong, these... 10 16.67%

Total:60

Just get rid of Dubstep and QTE.

Around the Network

I agree with them all except for holding breath to aim. That's a small but good feature which makes gameplay deeper instead of dumbed down.

Apart from QTE's I think snap to cover is one of the worst features in modern games, severly dumbing down gameplay.

There are games like Uncharted and Enslaved that I love but they won't let me die. They dazzle with these epic cinematic jumps that look thrilling and death defying but then, you realize that you were never in any danger at all. Even if you wanted to die, you can't.

So: "Platforming" is my pic. If your game is 90% jumping, make the jumping require a little bit of skill, mmkay?

Sadly I think MP is here to stay.

I remember reading the news letter section in an EGM mag about 10 or 11 years ago, right around the time of the birth of XBL. It was a letter from some teenage boy who was concerned about the future of gaming. We was worried that XBL and people's newfound obession with online MP would end up ruining single player games. The editor basically dispelled the notion, saying the MP will always be an "add on", but it turns out, the teenager was right to be worried. I think the realization of this for me was COD4's single player lasting all of about, what was it...7 hours? lol.

I'm just hoping it's a fad, and changes over time into something in the middle. If it's done right, it can add to any game. It's only when MP cannibalizes single player that I get upset.

The thing is, there are single player games with no multiplayer that have single player campaigns that last 7 hours.  Sometimes, even less.

Forgot a few...

-Overprice games
-Massive development cost ( close to a billon )
-Graphic Whores

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games
