Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One To Support Mods? 'It's Up To Developers' Says Major Nelson

I was hoping MS and Sony would copy steams Workshop, it makes using mods soooo much easier

Considering the hate from Valve to Microsoft, I doubt it. However, considering you can sign up in Steam from your Ps3, I can imagine some kind of trade between Ps4 and Steam!

i didnt necesarily mean using Valves workshop, just stealing the idea of it, leaving it up to idividual devs means we probably wont see much modding on consoles again.

The whole point of mods is usually its not up to the devs, its the community making them, Steams workshop gave a really nice interface for installing enabling and disabling mods and is a fairly simple API for the devs to setup. Workshop is an amazing thing.

Cool just keep em out of online multiplayer :)

Now this is interesting?

Since Don Mattrick left, new management is becoming more gamer centric by the week!

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Yeah, now you see how simplistic that guy was. I predict Zynga's shareholders will not be too happy with him in 1 year time and try to kick him out too.
