I said you can't explian faith with logic, I didn't say it has no logic to it.

If faith has logic to it, then that logic should be able to be explained with logic.

Or I could just change my post to:

I don't think any sane human would ever admit that the most important component of their beliefs can't be explained by logic.

First I'd like to point that my post had a typo xD. It is explain not explian.

Anyway about that, why should it be explained with logic? Should we always explain things with logical arguments? Isn't there things that can't be explained by logic, like love?

But you implied that faith has logic to it. I'm just questioning that logic.

No point in believing or doing something which makes no sense.

Define love.

I can define love but I can't make a logical argument about it. Can you? If i can't make a logical argument to explain love then how can I make a logical argument to explain faith?

You can define Lust logically. *shrugs*

I would love to know the definition of lust with a logical argument!

If you won't define it, I'll just post something straight from the dictionary.

Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person

Using this definition, Love can be explained as survival instinct. It keeps human beings together (humans work better in groups) against threats and facilitates the continuation of the species. Adults who are attached (or love) their infants increase the probability of those infants living. Two people who love each other and work as a team are better than two seperate individuals, etc.

Also, what is the logic behind faith? You implied that there was some logic there.

Then why people do stupid things for love that follow no logic?

Because humans do stupid things. That's a part of being human.

What are you trying to imply here? Because people do stupid things for love, that means love is illogical?

That's a poor argument.

I've seen people do stupid things for sex, does that mean sex is illogical? No.

I  think science relies on faith sometimes..
