Resonance of Fate (PS3)

Where are you / Are you liking it thus far?

I'm on Chapter 4. Just completed the side missions and I'm going to do the story mission now.

I'm enjoying it. It has a ton of fresh ideas for gameplay and I love the cinematic action. Although, I will say I absolutely depise the storytelling. Never before have I played 7 hours of a game and have no idea about a plotline, world, etc. They're spoon feeding info and all I know is that they're a merc group doing business in Ezel City.

As Xen has explained you: don't give a damn about the story. The game itself don't take it too seriously though, and it won't tell you the story (In fact there are several times where key things are explained to you as if you already knew them, though, it would be the first time you've heard of them). The ending doesn't make sense and don't explain anything either. Just imagine RoF as a Cobwoy Bebop minus the main storyline.

Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya on 3DS (I never played it on Game Gear so I'm loving this atm!)

Dragon Age Origins and Halo 4 on 360

League of Legends, and Torchlight 2 on PC

A fellow LOL player!

Indeed! I really don't get to play as much as I'd like these days due to work, and family stuff, and I never really got that good at the game to begin with (only played around 15 ranked matches total and am sitting around 1350 ELO), but it's still a blast to play. I try to play a few normal matches every week just to keep my game up for when I have more free time to actually start playing more seriously!

God of War ascencion ( its really good, screw the haters. Probably the best game in the series, especially if you like Ghost of sparta).

Uncharted drakes fortune (slowly going through this one a bit at a time)

Wipeout HD/Fury on PS3 and PSVita. They are the casual gaming, a gold medal here and there.

SWTOR ( its my MMORPG on the PC)

God Eater Burst ( i play it late at night, maybe one or two missions when i log my Vita on).

Rogue Legacy and Victoria 2: Heart of Darkness both for PC and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Trust me don't start playing it sersiously, because it i have trouble playing my beloved rpgs and i find it hard having long play sessions. It made me lazy which stopped me from completing a lot of open world games. Now all i can really steam roll through are linear games.

I recently finished nier and i am searching for a good jrpg on ps3, preferably without turn based combat. Any suggestions?

Path of Exile (PC) aka. The Real Diablo 3

Terraria (PC)

Left for Dead 2 (PC)

Minion rush (android)

Bejeweled? (android)

Funny enough i bought the Last of Us a few weeks ago, played it for an hour and never went back. Yet ive put countless number of hours into some of the games mentioned above.

Is Path of Exile as ball-bustingly awesome as it looks? Been keeping my eyes on this for some time, this and some other, similar game on Kickstarter that featured a physics based combat system with weight and momentum carrying attacks and a proper real-time weather system (don't remember the name of the game though).

It really is good.

Once you get over the fact that its not a diablo clone that is.

The systems in the game are really innovative imo. And because of the massive passive skil tree and skills/item system you can experiment with different builds etc.

It also has a very satisfying end game. After you beat merciless (third play through and really challenging) you get to do maps. Maps are basically dungeon instances with modifiers to mobs and stats etc. I think its similar to the map system in torchlight.

Not saying the game is perfect though far far far from it. But if you like ARPGS and challening gameplay that requires serious time and thinking then atleast give it try.

This game got me off DOTA/DOTA 2! And thats saying something. Id put it right up there with Diablo 2 if it put a bit more effort into the game as a complete package instead of just pouring resources into the deep systems that the game has. Trading is difficult and cumbersome and the story is completely lacklustre.

Ive been playing solo for a while now but the game really takes off when you play with friends and compete in races/events. If you do give it try then id love to play with you!
